Is ProPoint compatible with Android, Linux, Windows, and Mac OS systems - as a mouse and a presenter?

Does ProPoint work on an iPad or iPad Pro?

Yes, it does when used with remote desktop software to operate a Mac or Windows computer. We’ve partnered with the world’s leading iOS remote desktop apps so that you can remote into a computer using your iPad, with full mouse control. Here’s our current list (with more coming). Many of these are free apps…

Which operating systems will the configuration software work with?

ProPoint, is ‘plug and play’ and will work as a standard mouse and also an ‘in-air mouse’ right out of the box.

For customized configuration, we have developed new software that runs on both Mac and Windows.

We don’t have custom software for Linux, however, functions can be mapped within applications. All optical mouse movements, tilt gestures, and in-air movements are reported, and able to be accessed by developers.

Can I make a pledge for just part of the bundle?

To keep it simple we’ve set it up so that all pledge levels get the entire bundle.

If the travel power adapter isn’t something you’ll use yourself, our suggestion is to gift to a friend. Note you don’t have to ‘travel’ to use the adapter, it’s great as a USB wall charger as well, and you can even charge ProPoint using it :)

Sorry that we can’t break up the bundles for you :(

Is there a left handed version of ProPoint?

Not yet :( We really want to make a left-handed version (we have some lefties on our team, too).

To do this we need to hit critical mass on sales of the right-handed version - then we’ll be able to afford to make a new set of tools (molds) for the parts for a left-handed device.

With your help to spread the word, we’re striving to reach enough sales to launch ProPoint LH.

Note that we have many left-handers who use the mouse in their right hand, there is a learning / transition period that can be a few days, or up to a week, depending on the individual.

Can ProPoint be used with a laptop that only has USB-C ports?

Absolutely. ProPoint works with the wireless USB receiver/charger, but if you don’t have a standard USB port, you can just pair it directly with Bluetooth (it doesn’t need the USB dongle plugged in to operate).

If you need to charge ProPoint and don’t have a standard USB port on your device, you can use the USB-C to USB adapter (we are including as part of the bundle for free), or use the power adapter (included) that can be plugged into the wall and has two standard USB charging ports.

We are developing a ‘USB-C only’ charger that will be compatible with ProPoint. This will be developed after the Kickstarter shipments and we’ll make it available as a separate accessory to purchase for existing owners.

What's the difference between Swiftpoint GT, and ProPoint?

ProPoint is our third generation pen-grip mouse, with many new innovations and improvements over the GT (second gen device)…

*It’s two devices in one, i.e. both a mouse, and an in-air presenter (with gyro technology). It also operates as an air-mouse, which is great when you need to control your media and there’s no surface to use a mouse.

*Has an additional dedicated button (three physical buttons instead of two)

  • A new optical sensor (50% higher DPI than the GT), that gives more precision, and works on more surfaces.

*New Gesture 2.0 technology, for panning, zooming, and rotating gestures (by combining tilt gestures with the three physical buttons).

*New configuration software for Mac and PC.

*New firmware for more reliable Bluetooth operation.

Shipping Updates
For the most up-to-date information about the status of our project, check our project updates on Kickstarter!

Current Estimated Shipping Date: November 2018

You can expect to have your ProPoint mouse in your hands before the end of November. We would have liked to have them to you in October as we originally planned, but we were delayed slightly by our many trips to the factory to make sure that every single component was manufactured perfectly to our specifications. We apologise for the small delay but we have not wanted to compromise on quality. We’ve made a number of small changes and adjustments on the way through and are very happy with the results.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
